Vibrations limit the performance of sensitive instruments in numerous applications. Thus the need to remove vibrations to optimise performance has become crucial. We have spent many years developing state-of-the-art workstations and platforms, which provide the user with a truly vibration free surface on which the user can place equipment. Our products are available in a wide range of sizes and shapes to support instruments of varying weights and footprints.

Theory
Elimination of movements from a working surface is achieved by isolating it from any external influences such as the floor and the structure itself is rigid and damps out any induced surface movements (fans etc.). The major sources of external disturbances are vertical and horizontal floor movements.

Floor vibrations arise from many sources; road traffic, trains, large machinery, lifts and building sway are among common examples. Typically building vibrations peak in the region of 7 Hz, however a metal frame building of height H has a resonance of roughly 46/H hertz, which means that on the fifth floor of a building you can expect horizontal and vertical displacements as low as 3 hertz. Floors almost never exhibit periodic vibrations in the 1 to 3Hz band.

vibration isolation graphThe measure of the effectiveness of an isolation system is given by its transmissibility (opposite). As an approximate rule isolators start to become effective at between two to three times their own natural resonant frequency. Thus to remove vibrations at 7Hz an isolator with a natural frequency of about 2Hz is required.

The performance of an isolator depends on its stiffness and the mass it is supporting. In general isolator performance improves as mass is increased and for optimum performance one should work close to the maximum load an isolation system is designed to support. As an example, it is bad practice to place a 50kg load on a table designed to support 500kg, whereas a load of 200kg or more would be suitable.

The load supported by an isolator is calculated by multiplying the air pressure inside the isolator by the area of the piston it is supporting. Thus a piston of 15cm² surface area will support 25kg at 2 Bar. As (pressure) x (volume) for an isolator is a constant at any given temperature, increasing the load on an isolator will cause the piston to drop until the pressure has risen sufficiently to support the load. If one wishes to return the platform to its original level, then one must introduce more air into the isolator at the new pressure.

A self-levelling valve introduces and exhausts air automatically into an isolator and always keeps it at the same height.

Construction
Our platforms combine a highly rigid damped table with an excellent vibration isolation system in one unique package.

It has long been accepted that the best isolation is achieved using pneumatic isolation chambers, which utilise high performance rolling diaphragms. All our isolators contain such a specially designed diaphragms.

Our isolators are also connected to a damping volume via a tuned restrictor. The restrictor absorbs system energy by converting air movements into heat as it is forced through the restrictor. This removes the overshoot and oscillations, which occur in isolators without dampening chambers and highly specialised restrictors such as ours.

We use a low isolation volume to damping volume ratio, which means that the working surface appears stiff to the touch (as all large low frequency disturbances are rapidly damped away). Small higher frequency disturbances are removed by the isolator chamber, these have a resonant frequency (dependant on version and load) typically in the range 1.5 to 2Hz. and whose characteristics are given in the transmissibility curves.

Our platforms feature a seamless steel top finished in either a grey epoxy powder coat or optionally made from dull polished stainless steel. Both finishes meet the Class 10 requirements. The stainless finish may be required in certain environments and we would be pleased to advise on this. The tops are formed by laminating a highly damping core between two steel plates using high strength aerospace grade adhesives, a technique we developed in producing our range of high performance optical tables and breadboards.

Four isolators, airflow restrictors and damping volumes are integrated into the platforms, which allow the working surface to float freely away from its base during operation. The natural frequency is typically 2Hz both vertically and horizontally and is suitable for all but the most sensitive instruments, where our low frequency option should be selected. We offer a choice of active and passive platform versions.

In active platforms, each isolator is connected to a self-levelling arm, which can be externally adjusted to set the height of the platform and level it. They should be chosen when the load on a table is expected to vary frequently. These platforms require a continuous supply of air. This can be provided by a compressor or using a gas bottle (suitable for months of normal operation and ideal for clean room uses).

Passive platforms are designed for applications where load does not vary. This includes balance tables, which are designed for light loads where the platform is weighted to give good performance.

Platforms are manufactured in one location using state-of-the-art automated machinery to guarantee high tolerances and consistency while keeping costs low. Our products are assembled by a highly skilled workforce and rigorous quality control is applied throughout the manufacturing process.

Workstations provide a tailored working environment as well as featuring isolation built into the work surface, which makes working with a microscope both faster and easier, leading to more reliable measurements in your laboratory. Platforms are ultra thin and designed for use on benches beneath microscopes to maximise their performance.

Vibration Control
The OAMF and OAMP platforms offer the ultimate performance, incorporating four 2Hz damped rolling diaphragm air isolators, efficiently isolating frequencies from 6Hz and upwards. The OAMS tables incorporate Sorbothane isolators, giving excellent isolation with a natural frequency of less than 7Hz. Our isolators considerably out perform both simple air cushion and rubber isolators, shortening stabilisation times and speeding up measurements. The OAMD-SA workstation has an active area top plate comprising a rigid top plate placed over a full size isolation table on which an active area plate freely floats for the instrument to sit on, giving the advantages the excellent stability a full size table offers, without compromising work space.

Flexible solutions

Ergonomic Design

The ergonomic workstation design minimises user stress. With the active area option microscope platforms sit flush with the work surface and the surrounding area is useable for general work without disturbing measurements. Frames have height adjustable levelling feet, for excellent stability and user comfort with retractable castor feet, frame shelf and monitor support optional.

Selecting a platform

To select a platform you must first decide on the size of the working surface you require, the load it needs to support and the sensitivity of the equipment to vibrations; from this you can determine the class of product you require. You then need to decide whether you will require it to be floor mounted and what type of air supply would be best suited. We would be pleased to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

Active Platforms (OAMF series)

These platforms are self-levelling and ideal for use when loads on the platform are likely to change. They can support up to 160kg and are available in a range of standard sizes from 600 x 600mm up to 1500 x 900mm. Their low 60mm working height and low weight makes them ideal for use on desks and benches.

Passive platforms (OAMP series)
These platforms are designed to be pumped-up and left alone. Simple to use, they are ideal for use with fixed loads or in applications where pressurised air or gas cannot be used. They support loads up to 160kg and sizes range from
600 x 600mm to 1500 x 900mm with a 60mm working height.

Balance tables (OAMB series)
These passive platforms are weighted to 25kg and are for use with light instruments such as balances. They support loads to 120kg and are available in three sizes, 450 x 300mm, 400 x 500mm and 600 x 600mm. Their small footprint also makes them ideal for use when space is at a minimum. Working height is 60mm.

Contoured platform (OAMC series)
This light and compact passive platform has been specially designed for instruments such as microscopes. Its T- shape profile allows users to place their arms on either side of the platform while the width at the rear is large enough to support a wide range of instruments. Made entirely from electroless Nickel-plated aluminium parts it is suitable for Class 1 requirements. The top plate is 10mm thick with three damped isolators mounted to the underside.

High load workstations (OAMH series)
These workstations are designed for heavy instruments such as electron microscopes, which require high degrees of isolation from vibrations. They comprise a highly rigid platform supported on a sturdy isolation frame fitted with levelling feet.
The platform is fabricated by laminating two 5mm thick ferromagnetic steel plates to a 50mm thick aluminium close cell honeycomb core using aerospace grade adhesives.
The resultant plate has excellent compliance characteristics and its rigidity is suitable for supporting large loads up to 1500kg.
The vibration isolators are built into the legs of the frame. Each leg contains a low natural frequency rolling diaphragm isolator connected to a damping volume via a tuned flow restrictor, giving a highly damped system with a natural resonance (at high load) of around 1.1Hz. The isolation system is active with a self-levelling arm attached to each leg allowing the platform to be levelled as required and to compensate for varying loads. The isolators are available in two versions, the standard version for loads up to 500kg and a heavy-duty version for loads to 1500kg. The standard platform is available in a range of sizes from 900 x 900mm to 1500 x 1200mm.

MICROSCOPE ISOLATION PLATES

This light and compact passive platform has been specially designed to remove unwanted vibrations from instruments such as microscopes. Its T‐shaped profile allows users to place their arms on either side of the platform, while the rear section is wide enough to accommodate a wide range of instruments. Platforms are made entirely from electroless nickel‐plated aluminium parts and are fully non‐magnetic. The top plate is 10mm thick with three damped isolators mounted to the underside. They meet the most stringent cleanliness requirements, such as Class 1 and are resistant to most forms of biological and chemical attack. Their simple shape makes them very easy to clean.

Platform top plates rest on three pneumatic damped rolling diaphragm isolators. Typical building vibrations, which cause the most problems, are the cyclical ones between 7 and 30Hz. These isolators have a natural frequency of around 2Hz and start to effectively isolate vibrations from 7Hz upwards, greatly outperforming simple air cushion and rubber isolators which have much higher natural frequencies. The isolators are inflated using a conventional bicycle pump. When pressurised the isolators float the platform, effectively isolating the instrument from vibrations present on the work surface via a cushion of air.

The AMC‐1 is a pump‐up platform whereas the AMC‐12S is an active self‐levelling platform. The AMC‐1 is very popular and suits most microscopes. AMC‐1 is simply pumped up with a bicycle pump.

OAMB Performance Air Balance Platform

The low 2Hz natural frequency of the isolators built into this platform ensures that low frequency building vibrations that normally begin to occur around 6Hz and upwards are effectively removed, increasing instrument performance. The design incorporates the proven technology of damped rolling diaphragms, which greatly outperform rubber and elastomer isolators. For severe vibration problems or for sensitive instruments these platforms provide a truly effective solution.


The OAMB-040x050 pneumatic platform incorporates four 2Hz natural frequency rolling diaphragm damped isolators. The platform surfaces are manufactured from Pharma grade stainless steel, which is seamlessly welded, ground and finished along the corners to produce a perfectly smooth surface which can be cleaned thoroughly. Tuned dampening chambers and masses are incorporated to maximise stability and performance. The table is simply inflated via adjustable valves using a standard bicycle pump.


The smooth seamless table shape ensures thorough and easy cleaning removing risks such as cross contamination. The stainless steel versions feature Pharma grade stainless steel with a very low Ra of 0.3 making them ideal for cleanrooms and as well as being resistant to almost all forms of biological and chemical attack.

PASSIVE PUMP-UP HIGH LOAD PLATFORM

For equipment with a large and heavy footprint

The OAMCU series is a passive system which eliminates frequencies down to 3.5hz and can support a maximum load of 1000kg. Built in air isolators have a natural frequency of around 3.5Hz at 150kg. The air isolation height is only 60mm, and the isolators are built into a frame. The casing is a stainless steel box with a depth of 80mm, total height including feet is 100mm. The height when not inflated is 90mm total including the feet, the feet are 6mm deep. The dimensions of the platform are up to 1m x 1m x 100mm; however, slightly smaller dimensions may be preferred.


The platform can be installed directly on the ground underneath the instrument and is pumped up with a standard Schrader valve. There are four isolators under the platform, each one is pumped up via its own valve at the front, back, or sides (specify when ordering). The Schrader valves are located along opposite sides and set in 90mm from each end at a distance of 43mm down from the top. All four valves can be placed on one side - requested when ordering. The valves are set back 15mm from the sides, but generally we provide valve extenders to bring the valve stem out from the side to make it easier to inflate - the valve extenders are available in a range of lengths, so we can extend the valves from the sides so they protrude from 5mm.


As air isolators are used, the height will vary if the load is changed. The load should be placed onto the platform with it un-inflated and then pumped up until it floats. The platfrom does not needed to be floated to the full height, it just means that the isolation performance will be slightly less than when it is inflated to the correct height - the main thing is that they need to check it is floating at each corner away from the base. It can also be inflated beyond the 105mm's but the stability will decrease. Avoid inflating the platform beyond 110mm. If the load is changed when it is floating , then the air pressure may need to be adjusted - it depends on how much the load is changed by.


The platform looks like a SS box with 4 valves, and when pumped-up, it "floats". The maximum overall height is 100mm when inflated. 100mm to 105mm will given the optimal performance. This platform only needs to float a few millimeters off the ground.


The top tray is made from 240 DP stainless steel 304 grade and is of a seamless welded construction, the base tray is made from galvanised steel (stainless is an optional extra – additional charge).


The feet are not detachable as they hold the base plate on. They are black machined nylon disks (58mm diameter), like large washers with a central threaded hole that allows them to be screwed to projecting short threads emerging through holes in the base plate. This means they act both as a foot and a base plate fixer. They are designed to allow the table to sit securely on the floor without marking it and also makes it easier to move into position.


Installation is very simple - the platform weighs around 45kg, and it is simply placed in the correct location on the floor. If possible the instrument should be lowered onto the platform to prevent scratching the platform top. The work surface is tough and resistant to chemicals. Level the platform and inflate to optimal height, this will mean the platform is floating. Then the isolators are inflated until the platform floats away from the floor by around 5mm. Start by pumping up the isolators by pumping a bit into one, then the second, then third and then fourth and continue until all four float. Do not pump one up fully then the next as the load on the isolators would not be balanced in this situation. The platform should not be overinflated. Over-inflation could cause damage to the insturment.


To avoid lifting all the weight on one isolator, increase the pressure in the isolators to roughly the required pressure (we can supply chart) and not inflate just one until it floats - as the pressure would then be much too high on one corner as it would be carrying twice the relevant load. If each isolator is pumped up to around the required pressure, then the final adjustments can be made to the pressure in each one to get the platform to float correctly. The pressures may not be exactly the same as they would depend on the position of the centre of gravity of the instrument. If this is not central then the loads on each isolator would vary.


These isolators are only lightly damped and may amplify frequencies close to 3.5Hz, however, they will give around 5x reduction of vibrations at around 10Hz.


We can also supply the OAMCU with higher load isolators which would give a natural frequency of around 5.5Hz at 150kg per isolator - but the isolation at 10Hz would be reduced.

We also offer the HiSpec range of isolators - these are much longer and have a natural frequency of 1.8Hz at this load and 1.3Hz for the high load version. They perform much better at 10Hz but slightly worse at 1 to 2Hz. These isolators are heavily damped, so do not produce much amplification at resonance. The HiSpec legs can either be passive (pump-up) types or active versions (which will require a source of compressed air up to 7 bar).

OAMH series

High Performance anti vibration platform for heavy instruments

These workstations are designed for heavy instruments such as electron microscopes, cryostats, hardness testers, profilers, interferometers, spectrometers among many others. They comprise a highly rigid platform supported on a very strong frame with built in ultra low frequency 1Hz active damped self‐levelling air isolators. The platform features a seamless construction in stainless steel, which makes it both highly durable and easy to clean. It is suitable for biohazard areas and clean rooms. A wide range of sizes and options are available.

Product Details
The OAMH isolators are available in two versions, the heavy duty versions have a load capacity of 400kg each and a vertical natural frequency of 1.1Hz and horizontal frequency of 1.2Hz, through use of an internal 165mm pendulum mount with an ultra low friction multi‐axis mount. The table top construction features steel skins laminated to a close cell aluminium honeycomb core which combines high stiffness to weight with high damping to give excellent dynamic rigidity. The OAMH tables are available in a range of sizes. Working surfaces is DP Stainless as standard with ferromagnetic stainless optional. Other options

These workstations feature ultra‐low 1Hz natural frequency isolators, which effectively isolate out vibrations from 3Hz upwards and provide the best isolation in situations where vibrations limit the performance of sensitive instruments. The isolators are built into a sturdy steel box section frame, which is bolted together with heavy‐duty struts. The standard version can support loads to 500kg and the heavy‐duty version to over 1500kg. The laminated top plate is available in either 400 series ferritic steel or 240 satin silicone stainless. The close cell aluminium core is bonded to stainless steel skins producing an extremely rigid platform suitable for very high loads.

Outperforms rubber and spring isolators and simple granite and steel tables. These workstations remove unwanted vibrations which limit the performance of sensitive instruments such as balances. The top surface is 750 x 750mm and incorporates a 300 x 450mm vibration isolation platform, which sits flush with the surrounding table surface in a recess. Instruments are placed directly onto this isolation section of the workstation and isolations are removed by the built-in isolators. Tilting levelling feet on the frame ensure the table sits stable on the floor.

The ST and SS versions can be easily upgraded to the SA at a later date if required.

The use of a 1200 x 750mm active isolation table ensures complete isolation from vibrations while combining excellent stability. A top plate measuring 1230 x 780mm sits over the isolation table and has an isolation area of 350 x 550mm built in for the microscope. The surrounding area of the worktop can thus be used for placing equipment on and for work without disturbing the microscope. The damped rolling diaphragm isolators have a low natural frequency of 2Hz which effectively isolates out vibrations above 6Hz, well below the frequencies at which typical building vibrations begin to occur. A wide range of option includes monitor arms, castors, stainless surface and silent air compressors.

The OAMD-MA is supported by a wide range of options. These include a full size shelf that fits over the frame struts, a computer arm that is adjustable and can be placed on the right or left side at the back and an arm rest bar that is height adjustable and attaches to the front, which is used with gel arms rests. A range of castor feet is available and also a compact silent compressor which supplies clean dry air to the table.

Balance workstations air isolatorsOAMD-SA stainless air table features our OAMB-30x45 pneumatic platform. It incorporates four low 2Hz natural frequency rolling diaphragm damped isolators and the platform and table top feature 240 ground satin stainless steel. The isolators are simply inflated via adjustable valves using a bicycle pump.

OAMD-SS stainless version features an OAMS-30x45 platform with four 7Hz Sorbothane isolators which give an excellent 95 percent isolation at 50Hz. A unique sound deadening core soaks up surface borne vibrations and ensures our tables out perform simple granite and steel tables by up to 20dB. 240 silicon satin stainless ensures our tables meet all the requirements for use in stringent Steel Case environments such as cleanrooms and biohazard areas.

OAMD-ST and OAMD-SB standard table has a white powder epoxy table top surface incorporating a OAMT-30x40 granite platform featuring four Sorbothane isolators. It improves balance performance and is ideal for balances up to 4 to 5 digits. The smooth seamless table shape ensures thorough and easy cleaning removing risks such as cross contamination. The stainless steel versions feature 240 satin silicon steel with a very low Ra of 0.4 making them ideal for cleanrooms and as well as being resistant to almost all forms of biological and chemical attack. The frame is produced using tubular ERW steel which combines high rigidity with a closed profile that allows easy and thorough cleaning. Tilting levelling feet ensure it.

OAM-C01

These compact and oil-free air compressors are very quiet and with advanced motors, the use of piston rings and fine filters they produce clean, oil-free compressed air. Ideal for use in many science/ technology applications, also suitable for running several platforms.


With noise levels of less than 40dB and almost no vibration it is the best compressor for use with vibration isolation tables. The rings ensure the air is clean and pure, additionally each compressor is fitted with a 10 bar regulator and 5 micron filter. The air output is via a 6mm push fitting, standard or 1/8 BSP if preferred.

OAM-C03

The combination of a high performance motor and piston rings makes this compressor. ideal for use in scientific applications. With noise levels of less than 47dB and almost no vibration it is the best compressor for use with vibration isolation tables. The rings ensure the air is clean and pure and each compressor is fitted with a 10 bar regulator and 5 micron filter as standard. The air output is 6mm push fitting standard or 1/8 BSP if preferred.


Note that OAM-C03 does not work well above 3 bar - Excellent for light weight applications with smaller platforms but not larger tables (larger than 75kg generally).

OPTIONS, MODULAR ACCESSORIES AND COMPONENTS

Hi-Spec 1135 non-magnetic legHi Spec LegLow frequency platform option
Platforms with this option incorporate a specially extended isolator, which has a natural frequency of 1.5Hz vertically and horizontally. It is available only for active platforms. The only difference to the standard versions is that the platform depth is increased to 100mm with a corresponding increase in working height to 110mm.

Frame
Frames bolt directly to the platforms and they are coated with a hard grey epoxy powder coating. They are supplied with four levelling feet, giving 30mm of adjustment to ensure the frames' stability on most uneven floors. Frame height is 710mm, rising to an operating height of 780mm.

Frame shelves are made from 20mm laminated board and are suitable for supporting equipment such as computers

Platform guard
The platform guard is a sturdy rail (with side rail option) that fully surrounds the platform and protects it against accidental knocks, which would otherwise disturb instruments on the platform.

Monitor stand
This padded stand will support monitors weighing up to 30kg. It features 360 degree rotation of the arm as well as height adjustment. It mounts to the platform guard.

These castors incorporate a foot, which can be raised and lowered using a thumbwheel, allowing the workstation to be wheeled around and then securely mounted to the floor in a new location.

Stainless working surface
The dull polished stainless steel surface is ideal for stringent environments, such as within the food industry and in medical applications.

Mounting holes
We can supply platforms with a ferromagnetic steel working surface featuring either M6 holes on a 25mm grid of ¼-20UNC holes on 1 inch centres.

Concentric airmount OAM-AM02
This low profile airmount has a working height of only 40mm. Our unique design incorporates an isolation chamber surrounded by a concentric damping chamber. The chambers are connected by a tuned airflow restrictor which gives optimum damping with no overshoot while isolating out floor vibrations.
The OAM-AM02 isolators are designed to work to around 30kg.

This low cost isolator has a very small footprint and is designed for incorporation into instruments. It is used in conjunction with a damping chamber, which has the advantage of being placeable at some distance from the isolator, as required by the user.

High load isolator OAM-AM07
These high load isolators are capable of supporting loads up to 400kg and have a very low natural frequency as low as 1.1Hz. They are ideal as mounts for heavy sensitive instruments such as electron microscopes.

Levelling arm OAM-AM09Levelling arm
The levelling arm introduces and exhausts air into the isolators to maintain a constant working height. Its response time is much faster than that of the isolators and when used with them produces a working surface that not only feels very stiff but actually has an improved isolation performance.

High Performance total visibility acoustic hood

These cabinets provide a safe environment for working with hazardous substances. A variable speed fan draws air though a HEPA filter, ensuring hazardous materials are safely removed. The acrylic and stainless surfaces are smooth and can be thoroughly cleaned. The hinged hood tilts back to allow complete access for cleaning both the stainless base and the sides of the hood. Models OALSC-2 and OALSC-3 provide vibration isolation platforms which are recessed into the base plate, removing unwanted vibrations that limit the performance of instruments such as microscopes and analytical balances. Adjustable levelling feet ensure the table sits firmly on the floor. The hood front panel is made from a single piece of acrylic and easily lifts off, it has access ports for arms on both sides.


Airborne vibrations can occur from a wide range of sources examples include ; fans, ac units open windows, doors opening and closing and traffic. These vibrations disturb sensitive instruments such as microscopes and balances and limit their performance. The ALSC acoustic hood is made entirely from acrylic panels which can be thorougjhly cleaned to meet the requirements of working with most types of materials. The use of interlocking clear acrylic panels giveds complete visibiilty during operations , a major concern of many users


The smooth seamless table shape ensures thorough and easy cleaning removing risks such as cross contamination. The stainless steel versions feature pharma grade silicon steel with a very low Ra making them ideal for cleanrooms and as well as being resistant to almost all forms of biological and chemical attack.The frame is produced using tubular ERW steel which combines high rigidity with a closed profile that allows easy and thorough cleaning. Tilting levelling feet ensure it sits perfectly in contact with the floor.

OALSC-1 The standard lab cabinet features an acrylic hood with a back panel which supports a HEPA filter and fan unit. The hood rests on a flat stainless table and is hinged to the table top, so it can be easily tilted back to allow for thorough cleaning.

OALSC-2 The 7Hz isolation safety cabinet is the same as the above but incorporates an AMS-030x045 vibration isolation platform which sits flush with the surrounding table surface. This platform incorporates four 7Hz Sorbothane isolators and features a sound deadened core, which ensures it outperform simple granite and steel tables by up to 20dB in isolating unwanted vibrations from sensitive instruments such as analytical balances.

OALSC-3 The 2Hz air isolation safety cabinet incorporates an AMB-030x045 pneumatic platform. This platform incorporates four ultra low 2Hz natural frequency air isolators. These isolators will effectively isolate even the lowest cyclical vibrations that occur at frequencies as low as 6Hz and are ideal for very sensitive instruments such as 5 and 6 digit microbalances and performance microscopes.

OALSC This acoustic hood fits onto our standard OAMT-075x075, OAMD-SS or OAMD-AS tables. It is made from clear acrylic panels which allow excellent visibility and protects balances against acoustic disturbances such as drafts and noise. The OAMT-075x075 table has a pharma grade stainless steel worktop and a sturdy steel frame with levelling feet for stability. The OAMD-SS is a similar table but with an OAMS-030x045 platform built into a recess, the OAMD-AS is again a similar table but with a high performance air table built in.


The OALSC-1, OALSC-2 and OALSC-3 are Class 1 safety cabinets and have a HEPA filtration system on the rear panel. The OALSC-1 has no vibration isolation, whereas the OALSC-2 featurs the OAMD-SS table and the OALSC-3 has the OAMD-AS table. The OALSC is an acoustic hood, it measures 750x750x600mm and fits directly to the OAMD-SS and OAMD-AS tables.

The OAMOLY tables feature active air isolation and are supported by a wide range of options. They have worktop measuring 1230 x 780mm sitting over 1200 x 750mm air isolation table and a standard isolation area of 350 x 550mm built in for the microscope. The surrounding area of the worktop can be used for placing equipment or for working on without disturbing the microscope. A range of profiled isolation areas are available to suit different microscope configurations.


The OAMT-C1 is a contoured table for Olympus to go with the Xcellence microscope system. Olympus in Germany developed the Xcellence range of microscopes for Olympus which are very high end products. Olympus Germany recommends buyers of the Xcellence system to use our table to ensure proper performance and recommend this table to be purchased along with th OAMOLY-1 as well as a computer shelf. The table supports the monitors and the shelf fits to the OAMOLY-1 frame to support the computer. The OAMCB can also be use to house the Microscope controller, Stage controllers, Xenon lamp source unit and up to 4 lasers which are associated with the Xcellence system. These specially designed side cabinets feature internal shelves to accommodate microscope support equipment, such as laser, light sources, motorised stage controllers, computers and microscope control boxes. Options include slide out shelves for both equipment and also for computer keyboards. They feature Trespa top and acrylic doors, which are approved for use in labs throughout the world and are easy to clean. Large cable access ports at the rear of the cabinets connect directly to cable conduits so that cables can be kept tidy and placed out of sight, protecting them from disturbance and damage.

Hi-Spec and AMH
Our Hi-Spec 1Hz isolators have an ultra low frequency and provide the best isolation and versions are available for loads as high as 2000kg (4 off legs). They are available as Hi-Spec stand-alone rounds legs or AMH tables, where isolators are built into a heavy-duty frame with 120 x 120mm box section steel legs. These are ideal for heavy instruments such as electron microscopes, NMR imagers, optical tables and heavy measuring instruments.
