The new VITLAB® -8 and -12 multi-channel pipettors are characterised by their especially user-friendly operation for the manual pipetting of long series, as well as lasting reliability, especially for established multi-channel pipette applications, such as immunological assays, dilutions series, or use with cell cultures in microplate format.

The new piston-operated VITLAB® micropipettes are the perfect manual pipettes for the most demanding applications in the lab, including all of the features requested by users: rugged construction, ergonomic design, easy handling, complete autoclavability, highest precision, and easy calibration technique for convenient, long-term reliability.

The micropipette is conformity certified to DIN 12600, CE-IVD-compliant and completely autoclavable at 121°C (2 bar), acc. DIN EN 285.
Package includes VITLAB® micropipette, quality certificate and instruction manual. 

The volume range is applied to the clip of the finger rest. Thus, it is clearly visible even while pipetting. The volume range is permanently engraved into the surface with a laser.

PRECISION PIPETTE CONTROLLER
With the new pipette controller VITLAB pipeo®, pipette handling is simple and comfortable. The ergonomic handle, very light weight and excellent balance all contribute to operating ease.

Features
  • A 50mL pipette can be filled, quietly and with minimum vibration, in less than 10 seconds.
  • Precisely adjust the speed of the liquid discharge with one hand using the two easily accessible buttons.
  • The controller can be set to release liquid either in gravity delivery, or in blow out mode using the battery-operated motor.
  • The LED lamp changes from green to red approx. two hours before the battery needs to be recharged. If necessary, the controller can be used while the battery is charging so that important work is not interrupted.
  • The intelligent battery charger prevents overcharging of the NiMH battery and effectively reduces a shortened operating time due to premature recharging (lazy-battery-effect). After the charging time of 4 hours, the charger automatically switches to a pulsed, long-term charging mode.
  • The replaceable adapter securely attaches pipettes from 0.1 to 100ml. A 0.2µm hydrophobic membrane filter and a built-in check valve protect against liquid penetrating inside.
  • Any liquid vapours are being diverted away from the user through the outlet in front of the controller to protect the inside parts against corrosion.

Extracting measured amounts of liquid from bottles is a routine laboratory task best carried out quickly, accurately, simply and safely and without reagent loss.
The VITLAB 'genius' bottle top dispensers are precision devices that not only accomplish these objectives, but also offer many other advantages.

Features

  • The direct displacement plungers use a fluoroplastic (PFA) seal that works like a windscreen wiper to prevent build-up of easily crystallising reagents on the cylinder wall.
  • The glass cylinder is coated with a synthetic material, reducing the risk of splashes if breakage should occur.
  • The telescopic intake tube can easily be adjusted to the height of the bottle.

Note: Schott bottles use the same thread type and will suit these dispensers. Adapters are included.


Threads can be bewildering as there are too many choices. Non-rounded threads cannot be the common glass threads – GL. If the pitch is accurately full mm or a sensible fraction – like half, then it may well be a metric thread. The internal diameter of the vessel or pipe and the length of the threaded area are not relevant, but the outside diameter of the thread and the inside (in the grooves) would again be round full mm numbers. Outside diameter x pitch in mm defines the thread. Callipers are needed to accurately measure the diameters.

BOTTLE TOP MICRO-DISPENSERS
An innovative way of serial dispensing. New methods in the field of biochemical and medical research demand the dispensing of smallest volumes. With the VITLAB bottle top dispenser 'piccolo 2' these volumes can be dispensed straight from the bottle, perfect for serial dispensing operations.
Disposable tips are not necessary.
The ergonomic design makes dispensing simple. The micro-dispenser can be used with just one hand. Use the thumb (just like pipetting) to depress the volume dispensing button. The springloaded piston refills the micro-dispenser automatically after dispensing. The discharge tube can be rotated 360° so the dispenser can always be used with the label visible for safety. In order to guarantee high levels of resistance to chemicals and a broad range of applications, only high-quality materials, such as PTFE, PFA, ETFE, FEP, borosilicate glass and platinum-iridium, come in contact with the media.

BOTTLETOP DISPENSER FOR TRACE ANALYSIS

The bottletop dispenser VITLAB® TA has been specifically developed for use in trace analysis. The dispenser contributes to a reliable analysis and optimises the sample handling by its ease of use.
Exact and reproducible results are of major importance in trace analysis, and should not be influenced by contaminated media. Additionally, depending on application, highly concentrated acids and bases are often used in trace analysis. Therefore, the components that are in contact with the fluid path, are carefully chosen and constructed of the highest purity materials, combined with an excellent chemical resistance, such as PFA, PTFE and sapphire. The VITLAB® TA is operating absolutely reliably and is very robust. For special applications, the user can choose between two different valve systems: the VITLAB® TA with tantalum spring is best suited for dosing of hydrogen peroxide. For use with hydrofluoric acid (HF) and sodium hydroxide the platinum-iridium spring is recommended (see table 'Suitability of dosing media').
