Vacuum desiccator, PP/PC
Clear polycarbonate top. White polypropylene base provides excellent chemical resistance. Supplied with O-ring, PP perforated plate and stopcock with PTFE plug. Will hold a vacuum of 740mm Hg for 24 hours.PC is sometimes known as "bullet proof glass", it is very strong and it is most suitable for vacuum desiccators. However PC may not be autoclaved and in fact loses, at around 60 deg. C, its super-strength. If these desiccators are heated the PC will only have the strength of conventional plastics and may not tolerate a vacuum.Valve is removable and a plug is included if vacuum is not required.
