Castro-viejo scissors, 420SS

Castroviejo scissors are made from 420SS, they are available in straight or curved pointed tips and have a serrated grip on the shank.  12mm tip and overall length of 100mm.

Good scissors should retain a sharp edge. That requires a tough and hard stainless steel. One of the best and most suitable steels for scissors is AISI 420 Japanese Stainless Steel.
Different scissor styles are required for specific applications. These scissors are a solid, strong universal type. For fine control the length ratio of blades versus handles from the pivot point is important; relatively longer handles give better control. Smaller scissors can move into restricted openings and don't obscure vision.
