The easily accessible rotor chamber includes two plate carriers\u003cbr\u003ethat rest at a 75° angle. This allows plates to be inserted confidently without\u003cbr\u003esealing tapes or caps. Upon closing the lid of the centrifuge, the rotor\u003cbr\u003eaccelerates and the centrifugal force “swings” the plates into a horizontal\u003cbr\u003eposition. Any droplets on the walls of the plate quickly concentrate into\u003cbr\u003ethe well bottoms.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWith a g-force of 600 xg, most samples can be spun down in less than 20 seconds.\u003cbr\u003eTo end a run, simply open the lid and the automatic, electric brake brings the\u003cbr\u003erotor to a quick, smooth stop in just 4 seconds.
