CHEM Colour Dyed Particles

Microparticles (ranging in size from 1μm to 1000μm) have emerged as advanced functional materials for a wide range of applications including composites, paints and coatings, oil and gas exploration, adhesives, cosmetics, medicine, and biomedical applications, such as drug delivery, tissue engineering, biosensing, and cellular life science.

Spherotech have been manufacturing uniform microparticles for biomedical and diagnostic applications since 1992. As a global supplier of microparticle solutions, they manufacture high quality latex, fluorescent, paramagnetic, ferromagnetic and coloured dyed microparticles.

Colour Dyed Particles

Prepared by polymerising styrene in a solution of oil soluble dye in styrene. As a result the particles are free of solvent commonly found when the particles are prepared by staining with a solution of dye in organic solvent. The coloured particles are intensely coloured and are manufactured to enhance the visual detection in assays such as latex agglutination, dipstick and membrane based assays.
