These ESD-safe tweezers, style 7 (curved, fine tip), have soft plastic tips specially designed for the electronics industry to help with delicate samples and brittle materials. Made of non-magnetic, acid resistant stainless steel with replaceable carbon fibre reinforced tips, made in Switzerland. Conductive, synthetic carbon fibre reinforced tips with non-magnetic stainless steel grips. Sturdy and non-scratching. Clean room compatible. Lightweight and strong.
Length - 130mm
Points - 0.4 x 0.4mm
PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) reinforced with carbon fibre:
- Excellent mechanical strength and toughness
- Smooth surface
- Heat stabilised, high heat capability, continuous use temperature up to 150?C
- High purity (clean room and medical devices approved, low extraction value)
- Excellent chemical resistance to most aggressive substances and solvents. Resistant to halogens. Not compatible with NMP.
- Outstanding resistance to hydrofluoric acid (40% conc., 90?C, nitric acid (50% conc., 90?C), hydrochloric acid (36% conc., 90?C)
- High abrasion resistance
- Resistant to UV and nuclear radiation (sterilisation)
- ESD safe material
- Typical applications include handling of very scratch and contamination-sensitive components, cleaning and etching processes
Carbofib (Polyamide 66) reinforced with carbon fibre:
- Heat stabilised
- Very high rigidity, excellent tensile and flexural strength, fatigue and creep resistance
- Low friction, self-lubricating properties, excellent wear and abrasion resistance
- Good heat capability
- Good chemical resistance (oils, grease, fuels, non-polar solvents); not resistant to strong acids, alkalis and hot water or steam
- ESD safe material
- Very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion
- Typical applications include handling of sensitive components and devices (electronic components, micro-mechanical parts, glass and ceramic substrates, capillary, etc.)
PEEK (polyether ether ketone) reinforced with carbon fibre
- Very hard, rigid, high tensile and flexural strength, very high wear resistance
- High heat capability (260-300?C), good dimension stability, low thermal linear expansion coefficient
- Excellent resistance to chemicals and aggressive agents, excellent resistance to thermal ageing. Compatible with NMP.
- ESD-safe material
- Typical applications include handling of components in cleaning/chemical/assembly processes also at high temperature (soldering)
