▼ What does 'REGULAR STOCK' mean? ▼

The Regular Stock flag indicates that we regularly order this item, or a variant of this item. It will usually be on the shelf, or not far away. This is useful to know for future ordering.
The flag is a guide only, it is not indicative of current availability. For up-to-date availability, always click through to the product page and choose the variant you want.
Regular Stock also indicates that the item can be returned. Not all items can be returned, as they may have been ordered especially for you. If the item is regular stock, we can accept returns. See Refunds and Returns for more information.
▼ Can I have a MSDS / SDS for a product? ▼
At ProSciTech, we prioritise safety and transparency. You are welcome to download available SDSs for free from our website.
Before requesting a Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
- Check if Your Item Requires an SDS - If your item is not classified as hazardous, it may not have an SDS. (eg O.C.T Compound)
- Where to Find SDSs - Current SDSs can be found under Chemicals > Chemical Index in the top menu of the website. SDSs are listed alphabetically according to the name under which we sell the product. Product pages also have a link directly to the SDS for that item.
- Kits - SDSs for kits cover individual components. To view a list of components, visit the kit's product page on our website.
- Need Assistance? If you cannot find the SDS and you purchased the product from us, please contact us for support.
Important Notes:
We provide SDSs for our customers and for individuals directly affected by the products we supply.
While we strive to keep our SDSs current and accessible, we are not legally obligated to provide, update, or locate SDSs for non-customers or for products not purchased through us.
For those who have not purchased products directly from us, we recommend contacting the original supplier or manufacturer for the most up-to-date SDS.
▼ Why are there duplicates of the same product available? ▼
We sometimes source the same product from more than one supplier for three main reasons:
- Pricing differences – Different suppliers can offer varying pack sizes, minimum quantities, or cost structures. This allows you to choose the option that best suits your budget or usage volume.
- Lead time considerations – Some suppliers hold local stock, while others ship internationally. Where timing matters, you can select the listing that aligns with your required delivery timeframe.
- Supply security – Having multiple sources reduces the risk of backorders or extended delays. If one supplier is out of stock, an alternative may be available.
If you are unsure which option is most suitable, we are happy to advise based on availability and urgency.
▼ What is your pricing policy? ▼
GST (Australian Goods and Services Tax)
Our prices are listed as GST-exclusive as we as we are predominantly a B2B (business to business) seller. All orders shipped to an Australian address must be charged GST by law, regardless of final destination. The current GST rate is 10%.
No Discriminatory Pricing
All of our customers are eligible for the same pricing on our products, regardless of their affiliation. We believe discriminatory pricing can be seen as unfair or unethical. Our industry has a history of using hidden pricing and fake "discounts", which ProSciTech has always avoided. Our prices are published, with the exception of where we don't have an updated price from our suppliers, or where there may be significant changes in freight costs or exchange rates.
We have made the conscious decision to avoid discriminatory pricing practices in the best interest of both our business and our customers. Therefore, please do not ask for a discount based solely on your workplace.
E-procurement
Some institutions have e-procurement systems, where our prices are uploaded to the system and are therefore fixed for a period of time - generally 6 months. If your institution has a purchasing system, purchase portal or similar, you may find prices slightly different to those online, which may be changed to reflect costs more frequently.
Volume Discounts Available
For larger orders, we offer volume discounts as it helps reduce our costs and pass on the savings to our customers. This type of discount benefits both our business and our customers.
Pricing Changes
In light of the recent pandemic, supplier prices, freight costs, and exchange rates are continually fluctuating. We aim to keep our prices consistent and adjust them twice a year, however, we may have to make more frequent changes to reflect actual costs.

YOUR ORDER |
▼ Tracking your order? ▼
We recommend checking your order confirmation email to find out when your items will leave our warehouse. If you are using a purchasing department, you may need to contact them for this information (we send these details to the email address given on the order).
Once your order has been shipped, you should receive a separate email from the courier with tracking details to let you know that it's on its way. Couriers will only provide this to one email address. We do our best to ensure it is to the end user (you).
Use the link in the courier's email for for further information on your delivery.
If there appears to be an issue with the shipment (eg it is not moving from a delivery centre, or it is "onboard for delivery" more than once), please contact us and we can try to have it located and delivered.
All our parcels are sent "signature required". If you would like the parcel delivered without a signature, you must provide the courier your "authority to leave" prior to attempted delivery, which you can do through the tracking link.
If the tracking says "delivered" yet you have not received your order, please request proof of delivery from the courier. During the covid period, couriers may only request a name on delivery, rather than a signature. They should also take a picture for proof of delivery.
NOTE: Keep in mind that universities generally have an agreement with Australia Post, so their deliveries are made to a locked bag and delivered by internal mail. "Delivered" in this case will be to the mailroom only.
▼ How do I get a copy of my invoice? ▼
Invoices are emailed at time of dispatch to the email address given on the order. All packages are shipped with a paper copy attached to the box that doubles as a packing slip.
Invoices are only issued once goods are physically shipped. If you need to reconcile a payment before the goods are shipped, a proforma invoice is attached to the confirmation email when the order is received.
If you cannot locate your invoice, please email sales@proscitech.com with your order number and request that we email one to you.
SHIPPING YOUR ORDER |
▼ Shipping prices and returns ▼
At ProSciTech we do our best to offer the most effective shipping methods available within Australia and internationally. See here for full details on shipping pricing and returns policy.
▼ Can I order from my country? ▼
We do ship worldwide, however some regions we have difficulty getting reliable shipping. We may refuse your order if we have previously had a problem in your area.
▼ Can I 'Click and Collect'? ▼
Yes. If you are in the Townsville area, just click on the Pick up button as you check out to remove the freight charges and alert our team to hold it for you.

▼ Can I use my own courier? ▼
Generally, no.
Freight companies will charge the sender in the event the account has not been paid. We therefore expect freight to be paid prior to shipping.
▼ How can I track my order? ▼
We will email the tracking details at time of shipping, if the email on the order is not yours please ask them for this update to keep track of your parcel via the carrier. We give a best estimate of delivery time but cannot guarantee these times, as this is outside of our control.
▼ How can I get assistance with my delivery? ▼
If your delivery is taking longer than expected, the fastest way to get assistance is to contact your carrier directly and quote the tracking number (if available) to receive more detailed information about the delivery process.
If your order is listed as delivered but you haven't received it - check with others you work with to see if someone has received the order on your behalf. The tracking information should provide the name of the person who received your package. All orders from ProSciTech are required to obtain a signature on delivery.
If your delivery is with Australia Post, your parcel may have been delivered to your internal mail system. This is usually indicated by a very early delivery time eg 6am. Internal mail systems are used by universities and large institutions for safety purposes, so they can be examined prior to delivery.
You can request Proof of Delivery from the courier.
Please contact support@proscitech.com if you need further assistance with a delivery.
▼ What if my item is damaged? ▼
If you receive an item that is damaged, please let us know immediately. You can email support@proscitech.com with your order number and a picture of the damaged item. If the item was potentially damaged in transit, please include a picture of the external packaging.
In most cases, we can reship a replacement item immediatley. If it is a manufacturing fault, we may need a few days to confirm with the manufacturer what they would like done with the item, for example it may need to be returned.
▼ Shipping worldwide ▼
Please note that all orders outside of Australia and NZ must be paid in full, including freight charges, before they are sent. The receiver is also responsible for any customs duties and tariffs.
▼ Shipping Glutaraldehyde within Australia ▼
Shipping Glutaraldehyde (GA) is a significant cost ‐ we suggest switching to prepared Paraformaldehyde or using road freight to the Eastern States.
GA's dangerous goods classification has become more stringent, and shipping by air to Australian destinations incurs additional costs of over $200. Shipping by road to Qld, Vic, and NSW. Road freight to Tas and SA is marginal.
GA deteriorates with time and temperature. Over time GA forms a polymer. This is particularly undesirable in cyto‐ and histochemistry procedures. Slightly degraded GA containing some of the polymer, protects against osmotic shock when used for primary fixation. However, major contamination by the polymer degrades fixation. Stored frozen, GA remains a good fixative many years, refrigerated it lasts for at least one year. At room temperature and higher, degradation occurs but this is a slow process and some suppliers suggest medium term storage at room temperature.
The alternatives:
- Ship by air and pay the rather high freight costs Australian companies charge.
- Ship by road to the Eastern States. We are located in Townsville and two days is scarcely enough to reach Brisbane by truck. We never ship refrigerated goods on Thursday or Friday, but ProSciTech cannot guarantee shipping schedules. We ship GA with some ice and even when thawed, the GA should be good for a considerable time ‐ the reason for ice is to protect GA against very high temperatures which may occur in transit.
- Consider changing primary fixation from GA to prepared pure formaldehyde, which is made from paraformaldehyde. It can be made in the lab from powdered paraformaldehyde; the laboratory produced product is only good for one day. The commercial product has a shelf life of at least two years at room temperature, and it was originally used for primary fixation in cytochemistry and cyto‐immunology. This fixative has already been widely adapted for routine fixation procedures, using protocols as for GA.
Since FA requires no refrigeration, trucking the higher concentrations is no problem. Furthermore, the 8 and 4% solutions can be taken onto a plane since they are not classified as DG; we can also ship these by air when required.
