Fused Silica Matching Liquid Applications: Useful to those working with fused silica optical fibers, preforms, windows, and other optical components.
Cargille’s BK 7 Glass Matching Liquid: Matches the refractive index, nD = 1.5167, and matches the refractive dispersion of BK 7 glass better than any other liquid. The liquid has long-term stability and moderately high viscosity (similar to syrup and Cargille Immersion Oil Type B), which helps to hold coupled components together during manipulation and assembly.
Cargille’s Acrylic Matching Liquid: nD = 1.4917 amazingly matches the refractive index and the refractive dispersion of PMMA.
Cargille’s Double Acrylic Matching Liquid: nD = 1.4924 matches the refractive index, dispersion, and density of PMMA.
Cargille’s Water Matching Liquid: Matches the refractive index of water at 589.3nm at 23°C for work at room temperature or at 37°C for use at elevated temperatures.
